Residency with Metal Liverpool: I've been researching legislation governing Muslim women's hijab. HijabSpeaks highlights the experiencers of structural, political induced islamophobia that muslim women face- most importantly to celebrate the hijab beyond the negative stereotypes.

Part of my residency with Metal Liverpool we held our open-gathering for Muslim women at the Coffee Lodge and co-lead with Lila Tamea. There were interesting conversations, conflicting hopes of future & the need of healing from past experiences- this is the start of a much wider conversation
